There are a few marketplaces where you can advertise your skills. Here’s a selection:

HubPages pay you everytime someone clicks on advert on your published article. They put your advert link 60% of the time and theirs 40% of the time. They attract lots of traffic, and rank well in google so people do click on adverts. They offer multiple income sources through google adverts, amazon adverts and ebay adverts. If you write several articles you can make good money.

Squidoo’s payment system is different from others. They pool togather all the advert money is split between the best articles and authors. You need to be an active writer and poster. Just make sure your articles rank does not fall below 100,000. If you have an active account with a highish rank then you will make good money from Squidoo.

 

Work for a holiday company/cruise company

Get a job with a holiday company and they’ll pay you whilst you travel. Companies like thomas cook, thomson and royal caribbean have lots of opportunities to work and travel. Generally after you finish a few months of work you’ll get free time to explore the country. A great balance between work and play. Here’s a couple of our recommendations if you want to pursue this option:

Stray travel are an a travel company based in New Zealand. Would be a perfect job if your looking for a long-term getaway to the other side of the world, can’t get any further away from the UK.
Club18-30 are one of the premier travel companies for students and young adults. If you love the party scene and want to get paid then get a job at club 18-30.  Honestly, if the jobs are far as good as their holidays then you’ll have the best time in your life.
Thomas cook are constantly hiring. They have holiday locations across the whole world and are always looking for staff to be based in these locations. There lots of different roles, i’m sure you’ll find something to suit yourself.

CruiseShipJob will help you find your perfect job onboard a cruise. Cruises typically carry thousands of passangers across the seas. You can get a job on board as a customer service agent, hotel staff, restaurant staff, even the casino needs staff!

 

Teach English as a foreign language 

If you are native speaker of English then you already have the skills to teach abroad. There’s a huge demand for English teachers in foreign countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Peru ect. All you need is a passport, a working visa, and at least 12 months free time.

Jobs can vary from teaching school children to private classes teaching business employees how to communicate in English. First you’ll need a TEFL (teach English as a foreign language) certificate that most schools and educational centers will ask for when applying for a job. There are several companies around the world that will offer this service. As well as getting paid to travel, you’ll also get a great sense of achievement in teaching a new language. This should give you a good chance to get a good teaching job in Thailand. My friend found a job within 2 weeks. There is a high demand for English teachers in Thailand because the locals want to learn the language.

Teaching English in China is sky rocketing market at the moment. Salaries of English teachers in a booming China are making this job a real way to live in luxury. China has lower living costs than England and a normal English teacher can earn upwards of £800 per month. Although, you need to do more research before deciding to jump ship to the nearest tropical paradise.

Its really hard to get onto their panel, they’re really selective when they recruit new members and who they accept on to their programme. They pay you £1 for every 5 minutes of your time. Register and complete your profile then they will send you regular surveys. Once you have earned enough money, they will post you a cheque. We were paid over £150 last year.
